History of the Pirate Jersey
Our first jersey was a black coloured T-shirt with small logo on the left side chest area. The rear of the shirt had a larger version of the logo with "Pirates Dragon Boat Team" surrounding the logo.
These cotton shirts were a great first shirt. Though they did not dry as fast as some of the newer shirts, they did help turn a boat full of new paddlers into a team.
The shirt was also matched with a black hoodie that also featured the small logo on front with the larger version on the rear.

After seeing the cornacopia of shirt designs and materials used by different teams throughout the dragon boat world, we soon realized the limitations a cotton shirt put on us. It was decided that we needed a new shirt. The design was to stay the same (with the addition of the website address added to the rear bottom).
The new design (constructed using a fast dry weave) featured a black torso with red sleeves and red collar. A second non-sleeved shirt was also available. These shirts were lighter and dried faster. A nice improvement.

2008 saw a revamping of the Pirates Team shirt. Gone are the traditional black shirt with white and red logo. The newest jersey (with front half zipper) saw the colours changed to multi colour blue with red sleeves.
The logo saw an update as did the lettering scheme. The rear of the shirt saw the addition of a pirate ship sailing off into the sunset. The left sleeve has a Maple Leaf over two pirate swords with our motto "paddle together - pirates forever" below it. The right sleeve has the pirate logo with our chant "watch out - pirates about !!!".
